   Proposal Description:
   I wish to look at the effects of smoking, PTSD, and/or alcohol use on in both normal aging and those with a clinical diagnosis of MCI and AD.  In particular, I wish to look at how these factors may affect cognitive and functional ability over time and may predict disease onset.  Therefore, I would like to obtain data from the neuropsychological test battery for those who are cognitively normal, dx of MCI, and dx of AD over time.  I would also need to have demographic information, subject medications, subject health history, physical, HIS and CVD to rule out potential covariates.  I would also like to have clinician diagnosis, CDR, NPI-Q, GDS, and FAQ.     I will first look at data across baseline scores for the factors of interest (smoking, alcohol use, PTSD) and dx.  Then, I will use mixed effects modeling to investigate how these factors may affect neuropsyc scores over time.
